Yep, that's Rowan sporting some mighty sassy red Converse. They are so adorable and I have let her wear them with lots of color combos--none of them red since I've realized she doesn't really have a lot of red outfits, in fact zero. She loves them. Is she not the cutest 4 year old? I was trying to get a good shot of her and she's a rather impatient poser. Sometimes all I get is a tongue-sticking out or other funny face. It's not that she's being rude; I think she just feels self-conscious. So then I told her to look "thoughtful" just to change it up a bit and this is what I got: (okay, this refers to the top photo. Dang, I was so jazzed when I actually got photos to publish and now I can't figure out how to move them around--Linda, Kat, someone, help :)Pretty thoughtful! Seriously, though, it still surprises me a bit when she gets bashful because this is the baby I call feROcious. I mean, she came out growling! Seriously when she was less than 3 months old and for a long time after, she would GROWL! She wasn't mad, usually, but she sounded like a little demon. Pretty funny when sitting in Relief Society. She also at about 2 yrs. full-on tackled Quinlyn who is 3 years older than her.
Amazing, then, that she rarely opens her mouth around people she doesn't know well. In fact, it was during Christmas break that she told me, "I've decided it's okay to talk to my (preschool) teachers. I mean, they're pretty nice." I'm still not sure how much she contributes in class, but at least she has decided it's ok.
She delights me on a regular basis. The other thing she is known for around our house is that she is always covered in scratches and bruises! We are not always sure where or how she gets them. Yes, some of them can be attributed to Little Brother, but she has definitely given as good as she's taken in those bouts; others just appear and we ask her how she got said giant scrape on her back or knee or wherever and she is just not sure. She must be one tough little girl. Don't cross her. She might be quiet on the outside, but inside is the heart of a growler. Sassy red shoes fit her personality perfectly!!

Yeah I thought that was Quinlyn too! She sure is cute though! As far as moving around pics, I usually just cut them and paste them where I want them to go after they load onto my post. Sometimes it works better than others but give it a try.
